estrada orchestra is a five-piece experimental jazz-funk group from tallinn, active since 2013. at the core is bassist and producer misha panfilov, known for his deep funk and film score sensibilities, alongside keyboardist volodja brodsky, whose rhodes and clavinet work channels a rich fusion tradition. flutist and spontaneous vocalist ilja gussarov brings a charismatic, shamanic energy to live shows, leading the crowd like a tribal conductor. sashko petrov adds soul and flair on tenor sax and percussion, while drummer madis katkosilt anchors the groove with crunchy, hypnotic beats. together, they blend psychedelia, avant-garde jazz, afrobeat, and krautrock—defining estonia’s underground jazz-funk movement.
